Frequent Asked Questions

NeoGeneStar Cell Free DNA Purification Kits

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Q: What's the difference between fixed volume (solid reagents) and adjustable volume (liquid reagents)?

A: Adjustable volume kits use a ratio of 3 parts Lysis Buffer to 1 part of sample.

Fixed volume kits utilize solid Lysis / Bind reagents, thereby allowing larger samples in standard 15 mL and 50 mL test tubes.

  • Q: How many samples can I process with the adjustable volume kit? (Liquid Reagents)

A:  Typically about 30 of 1ml samples can be processed.  For Smaller samples - for example 100ul xenograft mouse samples - the liquid kit will process a couple hundred samples.
